Walt: This was week 1 work but I wasn't able to finish it on the first week
back when I came back to school, Because I wasn't there, And I forgot all
About last weeks work so I'm posting it now!.

Cheek cells.

Today, for science we've been looking at cheek cells, and how to draw your own. so we had a little turn to do it our selves and see how we can make our own drawing look like our cheek cells. there are a few idea's and descriptions on how we did this fun experience.

Immersion Assembly

On a cold winter's freezing cold morning, as me and the year 8s
we’re walking into the hall smelling and hearing all the little
kids screaming of joy and excitement. 

I couldn’t imagine what today was going to be like! I was
thinking to myself what would our topic be, what will all the
teachers crazy costumes and goofy movies be like..? 

As we all sat down at once the movies had began, year by year
each going up and showing their little movie and presentation,
and explain to everybody what they will be learning about. 

I really think my favourite year would be the year 1s, Because I
found it very entertaining with them driving into the water and
helping us and showing us what the sea-life creatures looked
like in their habitats and how we could help them to fix
everything, and save our sea-life creatures. 

I would also like to say a big thank you! Too all the teachers
for taking their time to make a simple little movie just to
explain to us what we will be learning about, and I know you
guys would have to take in a lot of hours and minutes of your
holiday just to make a simple little clip for us, and we really
appreciate the hard work you guys do for us! And again I would
just like to say a big Thank you! To all the teachers.

Hatter's gold

Immersion assembly week 1

Have u ever seen crazy Lip Synced teachers? Well today, that has
happened. Walking into the hall hearing kids screaming with “Joy” Seeing all the
little kids smile as they saw there teachers dressed up in crazy costume’s. And being
silly, and entertaining the kids as they we’re walking in, After our little set ups and
morning starting of the day, we got to see what our teachers did while we we’re on
Holiday's and how creative there movies we’re. Every teacher had there own creative
video or play to do on our stage, to entertain the kids and also show us what our theme
was gonna be this year, listening, Singing along, and having “Joy” Was my favorite thing
about our assembly. I would like to thank all the teachers for there hard-working.
And taking there time just to make a small little clip or even a play for us. We appreciate
everything you do for us and can’t want to see more.

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Tatiana, I am proud to be a year 8.
My teachers are Mrs Moala, Mrs Ilaoa, Mrs Tele’a and Mrs Tapuke and Mrs stone.

Immersion assembly

This term, Our topic is Tewa Toi the meaning for this word is “Time For Art” so my team will be doing a piece of art and will be saying the meaning of the be hide of this art like why did you make it, and what does this art have apart of you.

I will be telling you why Pt England School has immersion assembly. Immersion assembly are for telling us what our topic is going to be about for this year and also i don’t really know if a lot of school do immersion assembly’s for there students but i really love how all the teachers take there time to make a little video about what there students topic’s are going to be about. Also i like how sometimes they pick some of there teachers to do a little play too.

Team 3 - i really love how the teachers where going crazy and miss Eddie and miss king were painting over the teachers body’s and making them go crazy and do dance moves over a piece of paper. They were making a challenge when they had to try and paint a piece of painting in one minute and see if students would buy there art work.

Also one of there teachers from Team 3 had told us that why would people buy a piece of art work that looks like a mess or looks like nothing that is special, She said that she doesn’t understand why people would waste a lot of money on a little piece of painting that looks like a 3 year old painted it. But me and my teacher were saying some words that sometimes they don’t understand why they buy that much money for them sometimes it could mean that painting could mean something to her or him.

So now i understand why some people spend a lot of money on a little piece of painting or on a piece of art work that cost a lot of money. And sometimes people won’t understand and some people will some people could Appericate the work that u did and some people may not agree. But that is ok because they will learn one day that is why that person brought that art work and maybe they will learn what it means.

There you have it - Term 4 immersion assembly i would like to say a big thank you for all the teachers who painted on the stage and for all the work they but in for making there videos and for showing us what you will be doing this team and that is all i would just like to show how much my teachers put into there videos and how much hours and time they took for it.

Holiday highlights

School had just finish and i didn't know what to do?! but all i knew was that i could sleep in!!! so as i was walking home i was thinking? what could i do in the holiday so i just thought to myself there is a new movie coming out and its called infinity war i want to see that.
i was woken up by my two brothers!! *hey* Brothers* come on we are going to watch infinity war* me* but it hasn't even come out* brothers* we brought the tickets and its out now and we are going to watch it in 3D so lets go* so i had got ready and we had left in a rush.
i thought we were going to go pak'n'save because that is where we mostly get all of the food but then my older brother had said the movies said we can't bring anymore food in the movies so we had to buy them from the movies.
we had got all the foods and started walking into the movie i was so excited because i didn't know anything about this movie... i don't want to tell you what had happen in the movie because i don't want to spoil the movie for you if u haven't watch and if u want to watch it.
once the movie had finish me and my brothers were sitting on the chairs waiting for the post code videos but then when we were waiting there were no post code videos so we left in a shock why there was no post codes.

How we made bouncy balls

Scientific Question What Happens When we Mix Borax,water,food coloring,glue and Four it turn into a ball or slime.

What do we already know?

Food coloring is liquid.Borax is a laundry detergent.If your Bouncy ball was watery you had to add corn flour if you haded corn flour it will do nothing.

What can we find out?

We will make a Bouncy ball

Food coloring,glue,corn flour,hot water,borax,

What do we think will happen? (Hypothesis)

If I…, then ….will happen.

If i make it correctly then it will form a bouncy ball.

If i did not make the bouncy ball correctly it will turn into slime.

What do we do to find out? (Procedure)

1. In one cup we put borax and water.
2. In another cup we put corn flour,glue and food colouring
3. Stir the cup with the corn flour mix.
4. Gradually pour the water mix into the corn flour mix.
5. Made bouncy ball.

What Happens ? my bouncy ball work because i made all the correctly things for it and but when i put it in my hands it was like slime then i had to roll it into a ball then that how i made my bouncy ball.
